Meet Amy

My goal is to help Christian women move from feeling stuck in their circumstances to living confidently in their identity in Christ
Are you wondering if it’s possible to actually experience the peace, joy, and freedom that Jesus promises?

No matter what you’re facing, it is possible to live with your heart set on the eternal promises of Jesus while being present and having peace, joy, and freedom in the here and now.
Hi there! As a Christian, you are not meant to struggle or suffer alone. I know it’s hard to reach out for help. It’s scary to trust someone with your story. And I’m so glad you’re taking this step to at least explore the idea of getting support.

I want you to know that there is hope.

I help Christian women just like you who are:
-
Feeling overwhelmed and stressed
-
Struggling with anxiety and/or depression
-
Lacking confidence and have a low self-worth
-
Dealing with unhealthy relationships and wanting healthy boundaries
-
Struggling with being single and loneliness
-
Experiencing separation/divorce
-
Desiring a change in your work/career
-
Feeling stuck in life and not sure how to move forward

I help you identify and let go of the thoughts and beliefs that are holding you back and keeping you stuck, to make room for the life-changing truth of God’s word that leads to freedom, joy, and purpose.
I know this is possible, because I’ve been there.

I know the debilitating effects of anxiety. The loneliness of being a single adult Christian woman. The craziness of a toxic relationship. The heartbreak of divorce. The scattered emotions and utter exhaustion of being a new mom. And the list goes on.

During these hard times, I knew I needed help. But I didn’t just want to simply feel better or do more self care (not that those things are bad, they just weren’t it ).
I craved Jesus. I wanted to know Him more, lean on Him more, and dig into learning what He might have for me in the midst of devastation.

I wanted a Christian counselor who could point me to Jesus. Which is why I am so passionate about offering Christian counseling and coaching from a biblical worldview for women who are struggling and longing for a deeper connection with their savior. This is why I am so glad you’re here.
I want to help you…
-
Live with a deeper connection to God and have Him be the driving force in your life
-
Live with an eternal mindset
-
Seek God in all circumstances, knowing He is present, active, and cares
-
Disconnect from the things of this world and have your strongest desire be for God
-
Spend time on things that matter
-
Let go of things that are keeping you from your goals, values, and God-given desires
-
Heal and grow
-
Live more fully in your gifts
-
Comfort others with the comfort you have received
-
Lead your children and others confidently toward Christ

I am most inspired by women like you who are willing to face those hard areas of life in order to work toward healing and growth, even in the face of adversity. Women who are willing to do the work, even when you’re not sure what the work is. Women who want to go deeper in life rather than being spread thin and just skimming the surface.

My Professional Experience
Through over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I worked with women recovering from an abusive relationship, teen girls experiencing multiple mental health diagnoses, children and youth in foster care, adults seeking inpatient and outpatient mental health care, and adults in an inpatient mental health facility. I now offer individual counseling to women seeking counseling from a biblical worldview.

Both my personal and professional experience has led me to firmly believe that the our true source of help and healing comes through the very one who created us and knows our innermost being. As a Christian counselor, it is my job to equip you with the skills, tools, and insight that will help equip you to live aligned with the truth of God's word.

I earned my bachelor's degree in social work from Eastern Mennonite University in 2000 and master's degree in social work from the University of Tennessee in 2018. I am currently working toward earning my clinical social work license under the guidance of experienced licensed professionals and have earned a certificate in biblical counseling. I am currently a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
My Life...
There’s nothing I like more than being at home cozied up with my little girl who I homeschool.

I’m a wannabe homesteader who forgets to water plants, so that may never become a reality. For now, I keep my homesteading in the kitchen by making sourdough bread, raw milk kefir, and other homemade goodies.

I value simplicity, shopping local, and mugs of warm, frothy beverages. I used to say coffee, but migraines made me give it up. So, I’ve made peace with enjoying chai lattes and hot cocoa.
