My goal is to help women stop overthinking, avoiding, and being trapped by perfectionism, so they can stay calm, live confidently in their identity in Christ, and trust God with the things they can't control.
Are you wondering if it’s possible to actually experience the peace, joy, and freedom that Jesus promises?
No matter what you’re facing, it is possible to live with your heart set on the eternal promises of Jesus and trust God with your life while learning tactical strategies for managing and overcoming your current struggles.
I believe that prayer is our most powerful tool. I also have seen that women are often just told to "pray more" without investigating what the underlying cause of the struggle might be. There are often real changes we can make and actions we can take to improve those areas where we feel stuck.
I work with women who have strong faith (even though it might feel shaky in the moment) and who are exhausted from daily struggles with perfectionism, inability to focus, overthinking, feeling overwhelmed, negative thoughts about themselves, worry, and people-pleasing.
Since you've read this far, I know you're ready to do something different. You're ready for change...
I want you to know that there is hope.
I help Christian women just like you who are:
-
Struggling with anxiety and emotional reactions
-
Lacking confidence, feeling worthless, and inferiority
-
Dealing with unhealthy relationships and lack of boundaries
-
Struggling with perfectionism and people-pleasing
-
Keeping walls up, afraid to "be themselves" around others
-
Stuck in anxiety-driven underachieving or overachieving
-
Carrying shame, guilt, regret, or resentment
-
Feeling stuck in life and not sure how to move forward
I use a therapeutic method called Rational Living Therapy to help you identify the underlying beliefs that are keeping you stuck. You'll learn self-counseling techniques to equip YOU to become your own counselor.
You will be able to apply the skills you learn to any situation, which sets you up for life-long success.
We will use an integrative, holistic approach that investigates anything in your life that may be relevant to your situation - including lifestyle factors and faith.
I will help you make room for the life-changing truth of God’s word that leads to freedom, joy, and purpose.
I know this is possible, because I’ve been there.
During hard times in my life, I knew I needed help. But I didn’t just want to simply feel better or do more self care (not that those things are bad, they just weren’t it ).
I craved Jesus. I wanted to know Him more, lean on Him more, and dig into learning what He might have for me in the midst of devastation.
I also wanted to know what I needed to change to move forward successfully. I wanted to know what was contributing to my struggles - my thoughts, behaviors, decision-making, feelings, etc.
I wanted a Christian counselor who could help me break the patterns that were keeping me stuck and who could help me know and live in my identity in Christ.
This is why I am so passionate about offering Christian counseling for women who are struggling and longing for a deeper connection with their Savior. This is why I am so glad you’re here.
I want to help you…
-
Live with a deeper connection to God and have Him be the driving force in your life
-
Experience a calm, peace-filled life
-
Spend time and energy on things that truly matter
-
Have healthy, authentic relationships
-
Learn how to achieve your goals, live by your values, and pursue your God-given desires
-
Heal and grow
-
Use your gifts and strengths
-
Trust God
-
Comfort others with the comfort you have received
I am most inspired by women like you who are willing to face those hard areas of life in order to work toward healing and growth, even in the face of adversity. Women who are willing to do the work to make things better. Women who want to go deeper in life rather than being spread thin and just skimming the surface.

My Professional Experience
Throughout my 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I worked with women recovering from an abusive relationship, teen girls experiencing multiple mental health diagnoses, children and youth in foster care, adults seeking inpatient and outpatient mental health care, and adults in an inpatient mental health facility. I now offer individual counseling to women seeking counseling from a biblical worldview.
Both my personal and professional experience has led me to firmly believe that the our true source of help and healing comes through the very One who created us and knows our innermost being. As a Christian counselor, it is my job to equip you with the skills, tools, and insight that will help equip you to live aligned with the truth of God's word.
I earned my bachelor's degree in social work from Eastern Mennonite University in 2000 and master's degree in social work from the University of Tennessee in 2018. I am currently working toward earning my clinical social work license under the guidance of experienced licensed professionals.
I have specialized training and certificates in Biblical Counseling and Rational Living Therapy and am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner.
My Life.
My main gig aside from counseling is being a homeschooling mom to my little girl.
I enjoy making sourdough bread, sewing, and shopping at our local shops and markets.
I value simplicity, connection, and mugs of warm, frothy beverages.

Why work with me?
As someone who has lived through my own struggles with anxiety, people-pleasing, and inferiority, I know what's it's like to want to change but also fear being vulnerable. That's why it's so important to me to create a safe, nonjudgmental place for you to dive deep into those things that are keeping you stuck. You'll be able to develop the skills to live more fully in who you were created to be, no matter what circumstances you’re faced with, in a low-pressure, yet gently-challenging way.
