Work + Career Christian Counseling

Serving women in-person in Chambersburg and online throughout PA

If you're struggling with the confidence to pursue opportunities, make a change in your career, or imposter syndrome - welcome. You're in the the right place.

You wonder if you'll ever have a career you love and enjoy

At work you feel taken advantage of, unappreciated, overlooked, and overqualified.

Your lack of confidence and self-doubt has kept you from going after the types of jobs you dream of.

Or maybe you've achieved a lot in your career, but there’s a constant feeling of needing to prove yourself. You read, research, take classes, and do everything to be successful. Imposter syndrome keeps you in a cycle of anxiety.

You can barely enjoy your weekends, because there’s a constant sense of stress and dread about going back into work on Monday morning.

Ephesian 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

God has not given you a Spirit of fear

As stuck as you feel in your current situation, I know there is a bit of safety tied into it, too.

If you take a leap for a new opportunity, you could fall. There may be financial risk to leave a job you’ve been at for a while. If you relax a bit, they might realize you're not everything they think you are.

Imposter syndrome is real.

But your talents, experience, and interests are no mistake. Not only did God uniquely design and create you, He gave you new life - a life of freedom - in Christ.

This new life releases fear to make way for living fully in who you were created to be.

It is possible to love the work you do

Imagine waking up on Monday morning excited about the work you will be doing this week.

You feel energized as you think about the positive impact you’ll have on others’ lives and your own.

Rather than “work”, it feels more like living with purpose. You didn’t know it was possible to feel this aligned with your career.

Imagine feeling confident, because you’re doing the things that lights up your heart, mind, body, and soul. You’re showing up with a heart of service and trading perfection for trust in the work God is doing through you.

How I can help

Palm Tree Leaves_edited_edited.png

My approach to career counseling is compassionate, practical, and at your pace. I will meet you where you are as I learn about you, what you're struggling with, and your goals. We will work together to equip you with tools and skills for life-long success.

Together, we will:

  • Identify what you really want

  • Uncover the underlying sources of stress and what's keeping you stuck

  • Learn to reduce your stress responses and physical reactions

  • Break free from unhelpful habits and behaviors

  • Develop new, goals-based habits and behaviors

  • Draw on your faith for your identity, worth, and purpose

  • Equip you for life-long success

Even though you’re seeking Christian counseling, I know that you might be struggling with your faith in some ways. I will meet you where you are spiritually to incorporate your faith at your comfort level.

You may feel hesitant to start counseling related to your job or career because you don’t feel ready to take the leap toward doing something different yet.

If you’re afraid of having to jump into something you’re not ready for, don’t worry. Your counseling journey will start with where you are in order to help you prepare and equip you for the very next step.

Our counseling sessions will help you address and overcome the barriers that are keeping you stuck, so that, when the time is right, you will be able to confidently pursue the things that are on your heart.

Maybe you think that counseling would just be one more thing you are doing to “prepare” for something different, rather than actually going after the thing you want to pursue.

While you may have done other things to prepare you for what you really want to do, counseling will help you identify the underlying beliefs that are actually holding you back so you can move past them and take real action toward your goals.

Christian career counseling will provide support, tools, and an action plan that will move you forward, not only in your career, but also your overall life goals.
